Steve Bender at Southern Living - The Grumpy Gardener had started his annual Crepe Murder Contest.
Some of my neighbors get anonymous copies of his article in the mail. Not everyone in my neighborhood murders their crepe myrtles so it is not difficult for that anonymous person to remain anonymous.
I have crepe myrtle trees and have never pruned them like this...this is pruning right? Wonder why people would prune so drastically? Are there power lines overhead?
ReplyDeleteMy dad used to aggravate my mom so....He would call her crepe myrtle tree a 'CRAPPY MYRTLE' tree. He did it just to tease...at first it bothered her;but after a while, I'd hear her say it too.
funny thing.Anyway-- how ya been? I don't remember what part of TX you're in...but I still down in SW Kaufman County...South of Dallas...we've been having weird weather. Cloudy drizzly...chilly...Not really weird, normal for Texas. But earlier in the week. Warm!

There are those who are good at cooking, others good at taking care of a home, others who are good at computer stuff, but WHOEVER did this hack job should be banned from the pruning shears. How dreadful! Poor trees!
