WOW IT'S HOT

So our Texas Heat Wave is early this year.  I wasn't ready.  I still have garden chores to do and weeds to kill.

It's been so hot that gardening in the middle of the night isn't an option either.  The low temperatures are too hot too!  But I'm guessing my neighbors are happy I'm not working in the yard at 4 am.

But that's not why I haven't been blogging lately.  I've just been busy.  I'm taking Dad to the doctor several times a week most weeks.  Sometimes we stop at retirement places - but that is going to be hard since he survives just on SS.  Some places have been pet-friendly so he can take his cat JoJo.

But it sure is HOT outside.

I can't believe I was looking at vintage trailers.  I found one - Gertie - and went to chat with her owners in Granbury but I ended up in the Dr office (Dad getting stitches out of his elbow) and almost missed the end of the Ebay auction.  I was just too close to the end and couldn't get the winning bid in.  I will miss Gertie but I sure hope her new owners take good care of her.  She was sooo cute (and didn't have a toilet or A/C).

I will keep on looking but they are hard to find in good shape without costing an arm and a leg.

Other good news:  I am an aunt again.  A little cute California baby boy has joined his big sister and brother after a difficult time.  Both mom (she's my brothers daughter-in-law) and family are all doing ok.  I sure wish they were closer (I would say here but my brother and sister-in-law might argue that they should be closer to them in Arkansas!).
